“Çıkmaz Sokak (Dead End)”, the winner of Abdi İpekçi, most Successful Author of Avni Dilligil and Human Rights Awards, is nearly translated into all foreign languages. And it is either staged in most of the countries such as the USA, Germany and Greece or is able to enter repertoires. Recently, it has been taken in the repertoires of State Theatre of Thessalonica, State Theatre of Southern Cyprus, Bulgaria and Romania. It has been already translated into German, French and Greek. Now, into English. “Dead End” has been performed by over 60 different theatre groups since 1991.

Cücenoğlu said “Çığ” (Avalanche), which he wrote in 2001 and which depicts a natural event of both a social and physical nature and the fear it created in a community living in a small, rural settlement, is currently being performed in Russia and Poland and features in the repertoire of the other theatre companies in Bulgaria, Belgium and Iran.
